Job Description

  • Key contact for Shared Service Centre and taking accountability for and managing the following areas:
    • Accounts Payable (GBS Krakow)
    • Order 2 Cash (GBS Krakow)
    • Fixed Assets (SSC Costa Rica)
    • Monthly Accruals/posting of month end journals
    • GI review and tax postings
    • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Support managing relationship with EY and provide them with information to aid them with compilation of AFS, Income Tax, VAT and WHT returns.
  • Assist Financial Controller to drive Working capital Initiatives in the business and manage Cash Conversion Cycle
  • Main point of contact for external auditors for providing source information and driving completion of audits.
  • Develop continuous improvement in the control environment by ensuring Corporate Financial Instructions, Policies & procedures are implemented, maintained and adhered to.
  • Balance sheet review.  Review monthly for reasonableness and accuracy.  Provide assistance with Quarterly Review with EMEA Controller.
  • Oversight of day to day accounting to reporting operations ensuring that issues are timely identified and solved or escalated to the appropriate level including establishing and maintaining a robust and sustainable balance sheet reconciliation process
  • Assist Financial Controller in treasury operations: cash flow management, forex forecasting, relationship management with Banks.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure all utility and facility equipment are maintained in a “Safe to operate” condition at all times while promoting all aspects of safe working practices to meet all safety and housekeeping objectives of the plant.
  • To optimise the utilities for the Manufacturing process through provision of uninterrupted Power, Air, Cooling and Water.
  • To plan, organise and control Utility projects
  • Identify issues and opportunities for improvement through modifications and upgrades.
  • Manage changes in process requirements brought by changes in product specifications and productivity requirements.
  • Train, develop and up skill personnel by means of on the job as well as technical and generic training.
  • Communications – provide relevant and timely communications at all levels.
  • Support and manage cost structures in line with the budget
  • Ensuring world class reliability during continues production cycle

About You

  • Minimum of a B.Sc Degree / HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent tertiary education.
  • 5-7 years previous engineering and utilities maintenance experience in FMCG environment
  • Above average computer literacy is required.
  • Prior experience working with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) would be an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge on gas/diesel generators, Compressors, chillers and water distribution systems design & maintenance.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Good leadership qualities in line with company policies and practices.
  • Excellent knowledge in design, process improvement and maintenance.

  • Active participation in development of annual brand plans (led by marketing), including New Product Innovations (NPIs) planning
  • NPI planning with the Key distributor driven by Perfect Launch Kit
  • Gathering and sharing shopper, retailer and competition updates and insights
  • Strong presence in Traditional trade to gather data
  • Implementation of category strategy (developed in collaboration with marketing)
  • Implementation of retailer/customer/Distributor strategy (developed by sales)
  • Coordination with AC Nielsen and marketing for regular data sharing, working on data enhancements and data analytics as per business requirements
  • Responsibility for 2 budgets: (a)A&CP: in-store activation (POSM, promoters) & in-store sampling implementation (b) GTN: trade marketing plans
  • Interface with distributor.

Key Competencies / Skills

  • The position requires tertiary qualification (commercial base essential), a minimum of 7 years experience, 3 at a senior level within Customer, Channel, Marketing or Finance.  Proven track record in leadership to achieve  business results, market share growth.
